Drivers settle lawsuit over fatal crash

The estate of a woman who died in a two-car crash in June has settled a lawsuit with the husband's estate and the other driver. 71-year-old Shirley Emberton of McLean was killed in June of last year after a car driven by her husband, 76-year-old Clarence Emberton, turned into traffic at a stop sign off County Road 620 North and Route 51 near Heyworth. The lawsuit claims her husband failed to "keep a proper lookout ahead" and "maintain proper control over his vehicle."
